Role Overview

The primary responsibility will include the management of Client manufacturing facility upgrade and/or internal engineering design projects.

Client manufacturing facility upgrade project responsibilities may include:

  • Serve as the project manager for Client projects during applicable project phases (charter, kickoff, execution, closeout, etc.)
  • Use Client provided tools for reporting and monitoring issues, financials, schedule and other project output during major project phases
  • Manage project stakeholders
  • Utilize Client project management processes, procedures and instructions throughout the project life cycle

Internal engineering design projects may include:

  • Support proposal development efforts (review Client request, assist in proposal/estimate generation, proposal follow-up)
  • Mobilize upon project kickoff (PO verification, kickoff meeting, budget baseline, etc.)
  • Manage project execution (monitor deliverable development/quality, resource needs, report project status, risk monitoring, etc.)
  • Responsible for project close-out
  • May be required to coordinate internal engineering resource needs with engineering department managers across multiple projects

Requirements

Experience

  • Experience participating in and managing process improvement or facilities upgrade projects within a variety of manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with the construction and commissioning of manufacturing upgrade projects
  • Five (5) years of combined project management/engineering experience in manufacturing facilities or engineering consulting.

Education

  • Bachelors or Masters' Degree in: Electrical, Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 Scale.

Optional Skills Applicable to the Role

  • Ten (10) years of combined experience in Capital equipment and/or Facilities project management in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Experience working in FDA-regulated industry utilizing cGMP processes.
  • Professional PE registration or ability to obtain such is preferred.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or ability to obtain such is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP enterprise resource planning software.
  • Supervisory experience
