DISCIPLINE/AREA OF CONCENTRATION:

Highway

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of AASHTO, State (FDOT) and Municipal (Green Book) design criteria, standards and plans preparation requirements.
  • Expertise in Horizontal and Vertical Alignment, Drainage, Maintenance of Traffic, Signing and Pavement Markings and coordination of other disciplines such as - Signalization, Lighting, Utilities, Structures, Intelligent Transportation Systems and Tolling.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the project development process.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to plan, manage and deliver assignments using all project delivery methods.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Project Management

  • Implements the company’s Project Management policies and procedures.
  • Develops scope of services and negotiates fees required for success.
  • Plans tasks required and leads a team to implement on-time/within budget.
  • Manages scope, identifying additional services and working with client to get additional fees.
  • Achieves high client grades by meeting/exceeding expectations.
  • Works with Project Accountant to invoice client accurately and on-time. Assists with collections when past due.

Engineering

  • Serves as Engineer of Record where needed.
  • Develops a sound engineering solution that safely satisfies the scope and needs of the client.
  • Implements the Quality Control Plan to deliver quality deliverables.

Business Development (BD)

  • Maintains positive relationships with current and past clients.
  • Seeks BD opportunities through active marketing with clients.
  • Participates in industry organizations and contributes to social media and internal intranet posts to further EAC’s brand.
  • Leads or contributes to BD pursuits. Develops Go/NoGo and Win Plans with winning concepts and strategies. Contributes technical write-ups. Develops presentations and participates in interviews.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Typically twenty (20+) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience as PM for large projects with multiple disciplines and complexities.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) required
