Job description


Medical Group Care, Inc. ('MGC') is seeking a detail-oriented Package Design Project Manager & Proofreader to lead packaging development projects from concept through print-ready production. This role is responsible for managing project timelines and vendor coordination while serving as the final quality checkpoint for all packaging copy, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance prior to production. This position is well suited for a highly organized professional who combines strong project management skills with meticulous attention to written detail.

Company Overview

MGC is a Naples, Florida-based importer and distributor of FDA-regulated consumer health products, including over-the-counter drugs, skincare, feminine hygiene products, diagnostics, and vitamins. The company provides private-labeling services to retail and distribution partners nationwide, including major national retailers. We formulate, design and produce branded products under MGC label and our PL customers. 
Key Responsibilities

•     Manage packaging design projects from initial brief through final press-ready file, including timelines, budgets, and coordination with internal teams and customers and external vendors.
•     Serve as the primary point of contact between Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs and print vendors to keep packaging projects on schedule and within scope.
•     Proofread all packaging copy, including drug facts panels, ingredient declarations, net weight statements, UPC placement, and marketing claims, against approved source documents and applicable FDA and FTC requirements.
•     Maintain a project tracking system across the full product catalog, monitoring status and proactively flagging items at risk of missing print or shipment deadlines.
•     Coordinate proof rounds with printers and manufacturers and customers, reconcile revisions, and provide final approval on press-ready files.
•     Maintain packaging style guides and version-control documentation to ensure consistency across all product lines.
•     Identify potential packaging or labeling compliance issues and escalate to Regulatory Affairs or Quality Assurance prior to production.

Qualifications


Required

•     Minimum three years of experience in packaging project management, production coordination, or a comparable cross-functional role.
•     Demonstrated proofreading proficiency, with the ability to review dense regulatory and labeling copy with a high degree of accuracy.
•     Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects against firm deadlines, with strong organizational and vendor-management skills.
•     Experience reviewing and reconciling design proofs, revisions, and press-ready files; familiarity with PDF markup tools and/or InDesign or Illustrator preferred.
•     Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

•     Experience with OTC drug, cosmetic, or consumer health product packaging, including familiarity with FDA labeling requirements such as the Drug Facts panel and MoCRA.
•     Experience working with national retail partners, including familiarity with retailer packaging and vendor compliance standards.
•     Background in print production, including knowledge of dielines, color proofing (CMYK/Pantone), and prepress file requirements.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position based in Naples, Florida, requiring a combination of on-site and remote work as determined by business needs.
