This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands how to keep inventory, purchasing, shipping, logistics, and internal processes running efficiently. We are looking for someone who can identify problems, create better systems, improve communication, and make sure things get done accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operational activities and help improve overall workflow and efficiency
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate inventory tracking
  • Coordinate purchasing and maintain appropriate stock levels based on business needs
  • Work with vendors and suppliers regarding pricing, orders, lead times, and product availability

  • Coordinate freight, deliveries, pickups, and other transportation needs
  • Monitor orders to ensure products are received and shipped accurately and on schedule
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency
  • Develop and maintain organized processes and standard operating procedures
  • Track operational performance and address recurring issues
  • Work closely with sales, warehouse, purchasing, and management to keep departments aligned

  • Maintain accurate records related to purchasing, inventory, shipping, and receiving
  • Hold team members and vendors accountable for deadlines and expectations
  • Assist management with operational planning and continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in operations management, logistics, distribution, purchasing, warehouse operations, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing inventory and purchasing processes
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, freight, and logistics
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and develop practical solutions
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working with vendors, employees, customers, and management
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Proficiency with computers, spreadsheets, inventory systems, and business software
  • Experience in the glass, aluminum, construction materials, building materials, or distribution industry is a plus

The Right Person for This Role

We're looking for someone who doesn't simply maintain existing processes. We want someone who looks at an operation and asks, "How can we make this work better?"

The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, organized, and comfortable taking ownership. You should be able to spot problems before they become bigger problems, create structure where it's needed, and help build systems that allow the company to operate more efficiently as it grows.
