Job description

Description
At Fuss & Oโ€™Neill, weโ€™re more than a multidisciplinary engineering and consulting firm โ€” weโ€™re a team driven by collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced CAD Manager to lead and elevate CAD/BIM standards, workflows, and support across the organization.
This is a unique opportunity for a highly technical and collaborative professional to shape firmwide CAD operations, influence design technology strategy, and support project teams across multiple disciplines and offices. If you enjoy solving complex production challenges, mentoring teams, and improving design workflows, weโ€™d love to connect with you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, implement, and administer firmwide AutoCAD scripts, workflows, standards, and processesย
  • ย Coordinate testing and deployment of CAD tools and scripts alongside software upgrades and IT initiativesย
  • ย Lead and facilitate firmwide CAD coordination meetings and collaboration effortsย
  • ย Provide ongoing AutoCAD and Civil 3D training and technical support to staff across the organizationย
  • ย Partner with subject matter experts to improve workflows for additional platforms including Revit, MicroStation, OpenRoads, BIM, and GISย
  • ย Troubleshoot advanced CAD/BIM production issues and coordinate solutions with IT and software partnersย
  • ย Maintain and improve documentation for standards, procedures, and workflows while ensuring consistency across teamsย
  • ย Support project teams with setup, file organization, and production best practicesย
  • ย Help drive continuous improvement initiatives related to design technology, production efficiency, and quality standards

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Associateโ€™s or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Architecture, Construction Technology, or a related field preferredย
  • ย 10+ years of CAD/BIM design or management experience within an engineering, architecture, or consulting environmentย
  • ย 3+ years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferredย
  • ย Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3Dย
  • ย Experience developing CAD standards, templates, scripts, and workflowsย
  • ย Working knowledge of BIM platforms, MicroStation, OpenRoads, Revit, and GIS tools is a plusย
  • ย Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skillsย
  • ย Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple offices and disciplines
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the week to various Fuss & O'Neill offices

This is a hybrid role, offering the best of both worldsโ€”collaborate in-office with a high-performing team and enjoy the flexibility of working remotely part of the week. We're committed to supporting work-life balance while maintaining strong team connection and project delivery.

Why Youโ€™ll Love Working with Us
  • Schedule Flexibility: Customize your work schedule to fit your life.
  • ย Health & Wellness: Comprehensive health benefits to keep you and your family healthy.
