Position: Product Manager, Hydro Flask

Department: Product for Hydro Flask (Drinkware category)

Work Location: Bend, OR, Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)

Hybrid Schedule: At Helen of Troy, we embrace a flexible hybrid work model designed to support collaboration and productivity. For roles eligible for hybrid work, our standard schedule includes in-office collaboration from Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. What you will be doing:

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative Product Manager to oversee assigned product lines and be part of a passionate team of product creators.

The Product Manager leads the new product development process from concept to launch and beyond, including market research, product strategic planning, development, pricing, positioning, packaging, and commercialization activities for the Drinkware category. This role partners with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and manufacturing, to bring new products to market. The Product Manager also supports the management of product category through lifecycle management, product updates, pricing, quality oversight, and market analysis.

  • Develop and manage schedules to support successful new product launches.

  • Coordinate across Design, Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure deliverables are completed on time and key milestones are achieved.

  • Ensure project status, milestones, and deliverables are accurately tracked and communicated to stakeholders.

  • Partner with Design and Engineering to review products in development, providing feedback on feature set requirements and cost targets.

  • Ensure product direction aligns with consumer needs, business objectives, and pricing requirements.

  • Conduct market, consumer, and competitive research to identify categories and product opportunities.

  • Evaluate retail trends and sales insights to inform product strategy and priorities.

  • Translate market insights into recommendations for new product development opportunities.

  • Partner with manufacturing suppliers and the overseas sourcing team to obtain product quotations and negotiate pricing for new products and product updates.

  • Collaborate with sourcing team to identify and onboard new manufacturing partners that support business and product innovation objectives.

  • Partner with Sales, Brand Design, and Marketing to support launch and growth strategies for new and existing products.

  • Manage the product lifecycle for products within assigned categories, including product updates, quality improvements and cost management.

  • Collaborate with team to improve Hydro Flask product development processes.

Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Detail-oriented with strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational, presentation and project management capabilities.

  • Ability to follow established product development processes and protocol and offer suggestions for improvements where appropriate.

  • Strong analytical skills, including product line planning, margin analysis, market segmentation, competitive analysis, market research, and opportunity assessment.

  • Ability to define research objectives, interpret consumer and market insights, and apply findings to product development decisions.

  • Working knowledge of product evaluation, testing, and validation processes to support product development and commercialization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business, Marketing, Product Development, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in product management, product line management, category management, product marketing, or a related discipline.

  • Experienced with MS Office: Excel, Word, Power point, Outlook. Smartsheet, or similar project/product management software.

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
