The opportunity
The Workfront design team is looking for a Group Design Manager to lead the evolution of the Workfront platform experience. This role shapes how enterprise teams plan, manage, and collaborate on complex marketing work at scale.
This is a senior leadership position for an experienced design manager with strong product sense, a deep understanding of enterprise platforms, and the ability to lead through influence in highly cross-functional environments.
What you'll do
In this highly collaborative role, you'll drive the AI strategy and overall platform experience for Workfront. You'll shape how intelligent capabilities show up across the platform, strengthening Workfront as the gold-standard system of record for enterprises and their agencies. You'll also help define our agentic direction and craft experiences that empower the next generation of marketers and marketing operations teams!
  • Set the experience vision for key areas of the Workfront platform, with a focus on clarity, scale, and real enterprise workflows
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape direction, influence priorities, and connect design decisions to outcomes
  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of designers and design managers, building strong judgment, clear points of view, and a culture of feedback
  • Maintain a high bar for design quality across usability, accessibility, consistency, and trust
  • Drive alignment across teams by facilitating collaboration and navigating trade-offs in a highly matrixed environment
  • Guide teams through ambiguity and change while keeping users and outcomes front and center
  • Represent design with clarity and confidence to executives, customers, and partners
  • Help evolve the design practice through standards, hiring, team structure, and ways of working

What you need to succeed
  • 8+ years of experience in product, UX, or platform design
  • 5+ years leading design teams and/or design managers
  • Strong product sense and experience shaping long-term experience strategy
  • A track record of influencing priorities and direction through design leadership
  • Experience setting design standards and mentoring designers toward scalable, accessible experiences
  • Deep partnership experience with Product and Engineering
  • Comfort operating in complex systems and representing design at senior levels
  • A passion for coaching, growing teams, and building strong design culture

Preferred Accessibility Design Skills:
  • Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces for people with disabilities.
  • Understanding of applying WCAG conformance criteria in design, specifically testing comps, wireframes, and prototypes for accessibility standards.
  • Accessibility certifications CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or ADS from the IAAP preferred.

Expected Pay Range:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $155,100 -- $293,800 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
