Summary:

The Lab Technician will be responsible for conducting and overseeing laboratory testing by industry guidelines, including NOx activity testing and EPA Method 8a controlled condensate testing. The Technician will work closely with other laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results and will maintain laboratory equipment and inventory as required. Demonstrate ability to work independently. Willing to train the right candidate.

What You Will Be Doing:

Work collaboratively with other laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results.

• Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory, including regular maintenance and calibration of equipment.

• Collect and record test data, prepare reports, and present results to management as required.

• Participate in laboratory quality control and quality assurance activities.

• Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

• Conduct NOx activity testing and EPA Method 8a controlled condensate testing of SCR catalysts by industry guidelines and best practices.

• Assist with other laboratory duties as required.

Requirements

What You Will Bring:

• Associates degree in a related scientific or technical field, or equivalent experience, required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering field, preferred, but not required.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and laboratory software applications.

• Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and equipment, including experience following SOP’s and/or working in an ISO 9001:2015 environment preferred, but not required.

Working Conditions:

• Mechanical noise

• Dusty and dirty work environment due to materials and raw materials

• Varying temperatures from warm to cool

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift push, pull, and carry 25 pounds frequently

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds occasionally

• Standing for extended periods of time

• Walking, stooping, bending, crouching, twisting, climbing, and kneeling

Work Schedule:

1st Shift. Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm.

2nd Shift. Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm.
