We are seeking a highly organized Project lead for our Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Tech team. In this role, you will drive the execution of complex semiconductor test development projects, oversee daily lab operations, and ensure the successful rollout of test programs for high-performance products. The ideal candidate brings a strong hands-on background in semiconductor testing, deep knowledge of the Advantest V93000 (Verigy 93K) platform and SmarTest 8, and proven experience managing large engineering labs and hardware logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project & Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and allocate resources for a team of ATE technicians. Drive the execution and data collection for packaged SOCs, ensuring targets for test time, yield, and coverage are met.
  • Engineering & Test Support: Support and oversee critical engineering activities, including testing, test program validation, and hardware checkout.
  • Hands-On Technical Guidance: Oversee and assist with ATE setup and testing using Advantest V93000 (Verigy 93K) testers. Perform or guide the team in making load board setups to ensure full functionality for testing.
  • Lab Operations & Equipment Maintenance: Manage daily ATE lab operations. Ensure the strict calibration and preventative maintenance of all test equipment and lab tools to minimize downtime.
  • Hardware Logistics & Tracking: Take full ownership of hardware maintenance and logistics. Manage the storage, tracking, and maintenance of load boards, test samples (silicon), and various socket in the lab.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Design, Product Engineering and Operations, to align test strategies with product roadmaps and manufacturing requirements.

Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in semiconductor test engineering, lab management, or technical project management.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of directly managing or leading large technical teams (20+ members) in a lab or test floor environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with Advantest V93000 (Verigy 93K) testers and specifically the SmarTest 8 environment.
  • Lab & Hardware Skills: Proficiency in using standard lab equipment (Plungers . Chillers, Thermal Control Systems, Sockets ,etc).

Mandatory Skills: VLSI Board Design.
Experience: 1-3 Years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $37,500 to $83,600 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
