Job description

STS Technical Services is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to support product design, development, and analysis initiatives in Warren, Michigan. This role is built for engineers who can move from concept to execution, translating requirements into functional, manufacturable solutions.
You will work across design, testing, and troubleshooting, supporting both new development and existing systems. If you are comfortable owning problems and working through them until they are solved, this role fits.
Job Responsibilities
  • Research, design, develop, and test mechanical devices, systems, and components
  • Analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and technical documentation to determine feasibility, cost, and timelines
  • Support manufacturing processes by ensuring designs meet production and performance requirements
  • Investigate equipment failures and operational issues to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to improve system performance and reliability
  • Assist drafters and design teams in developing structural and mechanical designs using engineering tools and software
  • Create and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical reports
