Mechanical Engineer (HVAC and Plumbing)
Location: Grand Rapids or Farmington Hills
Employment Type: Full-Time

Whether you are an experienced professional or a recent graduate beginning your career, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside a talented team designing HVAC and plumbing systems for a wide variety of building projects.
Working with our Mechanical Engineering team, you will work on a variety of different projects with several multidisciplinary professionals.
What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Design plumbing and HVAC systems for a variety of building projects.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and designers on HVAC and domestic water, sanitary, storm, and specialty plumbing system designs.
  • Perform engineering calculations and develop construction drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
  • Support projects across industrial, municipal, healthcare, commercial, and higher education markets.
  • Conduct field investigations, site visits, and engineering evaluations.
  • Provide construction-phase engineering support and resolve field issues.
  • Utilize Revit and other engineering software to develop and coordinate designs.
  • Communicate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to support project delivery.
  • Manage assigned tasks independently while meeting project schedules and quality standards.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Entry-level candidates and experienced professionals are encouraged to apply. Previous A/E consulting experience is preferred but not required.
  • Interest in HVAC and plumbing system design, with a particular emphasis on building plumbing systems.
  • FE certification, PE license, or interest in pursuing professional licensure preferred.
  • Experience with Revit MEP is preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
