We are seeking a Senior Project Manager / Pursuit Lead to join our team and spearhead our effort to secure and deliver an alternative delivery infrastructure package for a high-end mixed-use revitalization project in Kansas City. This role combines preconstruction pursuit leadership with owners representative project management, ensuring seamless coordination between our firm, ownership, the Kansas City metro, and our alternative delivery partners.

The ideal candidate will be well-connected in Kansas Citys development ecosystem, with proven experience leading complex civic or mixed-use infrastructure projects and winning major pursuits.


What Youll Do
  • Lead design-build pursuit strategy including proposal development, presentations, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between ownership and Kansas City metro agencies.
  • Build and manage relationships with city departments (Public Works, Water Services, Planning, Economic Development).
  • Assemble and coordinate the design-build team (civil, structural, MEP, architecture, landscape).
  • Manage pursuit schedule, budget, and resources from RFQ through award.
  • Support contract negotiations and structure agreements with design and engineering partners.
  • Transition into execution role post-award to manage delivery, phasing, and city-owner coordination.

What You Bring
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • 1020 years of experience in project management, preconstruction, or pursuit/capture management.
  • Proven success in alternative delivery (Design-Build, CMAR), especially in civic or mixed-use redevelopment.
  • Strong Kansas City network across public agencies, developers, and civic stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with public financing tools (TIF, CID, GO Bonds).
  • PMP, CCM, or DBIA certification preferred.
