With a flagship 15,000-square-foot showroom on Oakland Park Boulevard and a second 10,000-square-foot showroom in the Culinary Arts District of Downtown Oakland Park, Allied offers clients an elevated design experience featuring decorative plumbing, hardware, lighting, tile, stone, cabinetry, and architectural products.

Role Description

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Design Assistant to join our Fort Lauderdale team. This role will support our designers, showroom operations, and client experience throughout the design process.

The Design Assistant will assist with preparing design concepts, organizing materials, communicating with clients and vendors, and helping develop creative solutions using design tools and software. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, design-minded, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a collaborative, client-focused environment.


Responsibilities

  • Support designers with project preparation, presentations, and design concepts
  • Assist with showroom organization, samples, materials, and product displays
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal team members
  • Help gather client needs, preferences, and project details
  • Utilize design software and visual tools to assist with layouts and concepts
  • Maintain organized project files, samples, and design materials
  • Provide excellent customer service and contribute to a positive showroom experience

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Interest or experience in interior design, kitchen and bath design, or residential remodeling
  • Proficiency in CAD or related design software preferred
  • Experience with graphic design or visual presentation tools is a plus
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work well with a team
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred
  • Prior experience in residential design, showroom support, or a similar role is a plus
