Position Overview:
As a School Psychologist, you will be an integral part of our efforts to support the emotional, social, and academic needs of our diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need.
- Interpret assessment results to guide educational planning and intervention strategies.
Counseling and Intervention:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students facing emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
Crisis Intervention:
- Respond to crises within the school community, providing immediate support and intervention.
- Collaborate with school staff to implement crisis management protocols.
Consultation and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel to support the overall well-being of students.
- Provide consultation on academic, social, and emotional concerns.
Behavioral Support:
- Assist in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans.
- Support the creation of a positive and inclusive school culture.
Professional Development:
- Stay current with advancements in psychology, education, and best practices.
- Engage in continuous professional learning to enhance support services.
Parent and Community Engagement:
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to address concerns and provide resources.

Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- State licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience in conducting psychological assessments and providing counseling services in an educational setting.

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Working Environment:
- The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands; the employee is frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- May be required to travel to various school district buildings and attend professional meetings as needed, actively participating in the collective efforts to empower the community.
Terms of Employment:
- Salary schedule commensurate with education and experience for this position
- 192 work days per Board approved work calendar

Evaluation:
- Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the District Administration in accordance with Governing Board Policy.
