The Schlessinger MD Skin Research Center is looking for its next Clinical Research RN! Schlessinger MD Skin Research Center, under the direction of Joel Schlessinger, MD, has been active in the advancement of skin care and skin health since 1993. As an established dermatology research facility, Schlessinger MD Skin Research Center has provided quality clinical research data to many pharmaceutical companies and leading skin care companies. The center has conducted more than 300 research studies, investigating new medications and treatments for a wide range of skin conditions, as well as cosmetic surgery procedures - performing more clinical research in dermatology than all of Omaha's combined universities.
What you'll love doing every day:
Coordinating and administering dermatology research studies and associated activities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This position will consist of 50% interacting with patients and the other 50% spent on paperwork/data entry.
  • Researching and learning multiple research study protocols
  • Responsible for performing blood draws, ECGs, basic lab duties, clinical photography, and telephone triage
  • Preparing patients for a variety of skin and other assessments and discussing
  • Obtaining medical and demographic history
  • Conduct subject visits with care, transparency and compliance with protocols
  • Maintaining a good workflow, including assisting coworkers when needed, and meeting expectations of patients in relation to being on time
  • Responsible for patient education including handing out educational pamphlets, giving verbal and written instructions for study procedures and dosing, and answering patient questions
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and coworkers
  • Updating files, rescheduling/scheduling patients, and following up with patients via phone
  • Assist with patient recruitment for studies to include: identifying opportunities within patient and local population and discussing the scope and impact of studies with potential participants.
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Location: Onsite-Omaha, Nebraska
Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday-Thursday

What you bring to the table:
  • Must possess a valid Nebraska RN license
  • Current GCP/IATA certifications or openness to obtain upon hire
  • Successful candidates will be highly motivated, responsible, organized, detail oriented, and dependable.
  • Must be friendly, personable, and adaptable.
  • Ability to travel (2-3 times per year)
