Familiarity with documentation platforms (such as ISDA Create), contract management systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are typically required. Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to manage tight deadlines are crucial soft skills for this role. These competencies ensure accurate, compliant, and timely documentation, reducing risk for financial institutions engaged in complex derivative transactions.

What is derivative documentation?

Derivative documentation refers to the set of legal and contractual documents that outline the terms, conditions, and processes involved in derivative transactions such as swaps, options, and futures. These documents ensure that all parties involved understand their rights, obligations, and the procedures to follow in various scenarios, like defaults or terminations. Common examples include ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes, and trade confirmations. Proper derivative documentation is essential for managing legal and financial risks in complex financial markets.
