A career as a deputy program manager requires you have some formal qualifications and education, typically a bachelor’s degree in business, administration, or a related field. Prior experience in program management, contracting, or leadership will set you ahead of other candidates, and many employers prefer skills like public speaking, administration, and strategic decision making in business.
