Pop Assoc Deposit Mgm
The Deposit Operations Representative uses prior banking knowledge in back-office operations to perform daily functions involving opening new accounts and account maintenance including but not limited to; changes in current signers, wire transfer requests, high dollar verifications, verification of deposit requests, unposted items, stop payments, processing and scanning of teller work, returned deposited items, closing out accounts, fraud detection and monitoring, processing various types of adjustments and research. Under general supervision, this position also provides other broad range of routine administrative and general support duties.
In this position, you will:
  • Cross train and perform all Deposit Operations functions following established procedures within PAB and Branch Administration
  • Accurately and efficiently perform bank transactions related to new accounts and account maintenance
  • Provide guidance to customer in the handling of problems, disputes, and/or challenges while demonstrating Popular's Service Standards
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for escalated and more difficult and challenging issues and situations
  • Perform necessary input/maintenance on FIS Core system to maintain customer profiles accurately and to correct or update and information as required
  • Keep management/stakeholders informed on deviations from standard operating procedures and make recommendations for corrective action to remediate
  • Recommend revisions to department procedures to comply with business, regulatory, and process improvement changes
  • Build cohesive relationships within Operations, working closely with Relationship Managers, Retail Branch Network, Customer Care Center, Cash Management, BSA, Compliance, Fraud, Wire Room, Legal, Accounting, Information Technology, Management, and other key internal departments
  • Meet all Service Level Agreements (SLA's) agreements executed between Deposit Operations and other internal departments
  • Support the Popular Association Banking Plan by achieving assigned goals

To be considered, you will need:
Minimum Required:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required and minimum of 3 years job experience in commercial or retail banking operations
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure, works autonomously, is flexible, and manages multiple tasks in a dynamic environment

Desirable Education/Experience:
  • Knowledge of Community Associations/Property Management a plus
