Job Title: Dental Insurance & Scheduling Coordinator
Pay Range: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday; some Saturdays required
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Dental Insurance & Scheduling Coordinator to join our dental practice. This position plays a key role in managing insurance processes and maintaining an efficient, well-organized patient schedule. Prior dental front office experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, and limitations
  • Submit, track, and follow up on insurance claims and pre-authorizations
  • Clearly explain insurance benefits and estimated patient portions
  • Schedule patients according to treatment plans and provider availability
  • Optimize daily schedules to support efficient patient flow
  • Confirm appointments and manage cancellations and reschedules
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management system
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Respond to patient billing and insurance inquiries professionally
Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of dental front office experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of dental insurance (PPO preferred)
  • Experience with claims and pre-authorizations
  • Knowledge of Dentrix Ascend is a plus
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
