Dental Front Desk / Receptionist

Job Description

• Greet and check in and check out each patient in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner
• Answer all incoming calls and address any patient questions, including but not limited to provider information, benefits, eligibility, and claim status in a
professional manner
• Schedule patients based on office scheduling and production guidelines
• Confirm all treatment and new patient appointments; Maintain proper flow of appointment schedule when confirming or scheduling
• Check patient eligibility and determine any co-payments due prior to scheduled visit
• Establish new patient records (electronically as well as hard copies)
• Collect all co-pays and enter in dental software
• Prepare and present treatment plan and financial estimates to patients for all prescribed treatment
• Educate patients on the benefits of receiving proper dental care
• Processes all insurance billings for patient services
• Maintain patient flow and wait time and communicate any issues to office manager or management
• Ensure patients are informed of treatment plans and any fess or co-payments that may apply for following visit
• Review and record all incoming dental communications received
• Handle patient issues professionally and refer to office manager as deemed necessary
• Control front office and community areas for cleanliness and appropriate conversations
• Maintain front desk area in an organized and orderly manner
• Perform all other duties assigned; Provide general support and back-up, as needed

Salary Range

Full-time $20 - $29 per hour

- Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
- Commission-Based Incentives: Receive additional compensation for successfully processing insurance claims, handling billing tasks, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Work Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
Alternate Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
