Dental Coordinator

As a dental coordinator, you'll have an important role in creating a positive experience for patients at Neighborhood.

About the Role:

You'll take a lead role in welcoming and assisting patients with kindness, scheduling appointments, and responding to patient questions. You'll use your problem-solving skills and collaborate with providers, billing, community health workers, medical records and other staff to address patient needs. Responsibilities include:

  • Reviews schedules to check accuracy of appointments and look for opportunities to maximize schedules.
  • Prioritizes, sends and responds to patient portal messages and patient cases while forwarding messages to appropriate staff for review.
  • Prepares and presents estimates of patient's financial responsibility.
  • Consults with providers regarding patient needs and makes referrals.
  • Schedules and confirms appointments, answers phones and other office responsibilities.
  • Runs reports to assist with patient follow-up, referrals and procedures.

Hourly Rate: $22.84 per hour based on a full-time, 40 hour work week.

You will work out of our Blasdell, Northwest, Mattina and Riverway offices.

Education and Skills to be a Dental Coordinator:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
  • Experience in Community Health, Patient Resource Coordination or equivalent.
  • Able to read, write and speak the English language. A second language of Spanish is preferred
  • Computer skills, clerical skills, data entry and organization required.

  • Teamwork: you are open to others' unique perspectives, and will collaborate to meet shared goals
  • Electronic Medical Records knowledge preferred but not required

Must be available to work any shift Monday-Friday between 7:45 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
