DEMOLITION FOREMAN

National Salvage & Service Corporation is a fast-growing specialty contractor working with industrial clients (large utilities and engineering firms) to complete their largest demolition and abatement projects. National seeks a seasoned Demolition foreman who is skilled at site management of industrial demolition jobs. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment.

DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience and knowledge in construction/demolition
  • General knowledge of day-to-day dismantlement/demolition operations and knowledge of hand & power tool usage
  • Willingness to learn new procedures or tasks
  • Experience managing personnel and running work
  • Ability to read and understand architectural/structural drawings
  • Follow good construction safety practices and following company code of ethics, policies and procedures
  • Operates equipment in a clean and efficient manner
  • Assures demolition is always conducted in a safe manner
  • Production driven
  • Must be willing to care for and maintain tools and equipment in addition to other duties
  • Able to measure, mark and record areas where work is to be performed and has been completed
  • Assisting other trade workers as necessary
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, the ability to track, record and plan work tasks, be able to work safely and promote a safe work environment
  • Ability to lift, pull, push up to 100 pounds
  • Work in various weather and job location conditions
  • Ability to occasionally work irregular hours and weekends
  • Ability to understand and follow directions and take instruction in English
