Job description

About the Role:

At Symmetry, we're building the future of payroll compliance technology. We have a powerful vision and an ambitious growth plan-but brilliant strategy is nothing without tactical execution. That's where you come in.

We're looking for a Marketing Programs Specialist to be the operational backbone of our marketing engine-the person who turns strategy into shipped work across new business acquisition and client and product communications. This isn't a role about sitting in meetings or setting strategy; it's about making things happen, and making them happen faster than traditional marketing teams ever could.

You'll work hand-in-hand with two leaders: supporting the Demand Generation Manager to drive new client acquisition, and supporting the Product Marketing Manager to deliver client and product communications. And you'll do all of it as an AI-first marketer-using AI as your co-pilot in everything you touch. We believe the next generation of B2B marketers won't just use AI; they'll make it the default way they work. This role is built for exactly that person.

This is a high-impact execution role with a direct line to pipeline and revenue, offering a front-row seat to building a world-class, AI-first and B2B SaaS marketing function.

About the Team:

Symmetry's Marketing team is dedicated to building brand awareness and driving enterprise demand for our payroll compliance solutions. Our core mission is to achieve significant growth and position Symmetry as a leader in infrastructure for payroll tax compliance. We're developing a robust enterprise marketing team encompassing demand generation, product marketing, digital marketing, lifecycle marketing and analytics-built from the ground up with AI embedded in how we work.

This role reports to the CMO and works in close partnership with the Demand Gen Manager and Product Marketing Manager. You'll execute across two pillars: new business acquisition (with Demand Gen) and client and product communications (with Product Marketing), gaining broad experience across digital marketing, events, lifecycle and product communications, and AI-first operations while learning from an experienced and collaborative team.

You'll also have the opportunity to:

  • Build hands-on experience with a modern, AI-augmented marketing tech stack.
  • Become deeply fluent in AI tools and workflows-a skillset that will define the next decade of marketing careers.
  • Gain exposure to growth strategies that connect marketing activities directly to revenue.
  • Work cross-functionally with demand gen, product marketing, sales, product, and leadership-developing communication and collaboration skills that accelerate career growth.

Here's what you'll do day-to-day:

  • Grow into more ownership over campaigns and programs as you gain experience
  • Coordinate LinkedIn and Google Ads campaigns targeting prospects, using AI to accelerate audience research, draft and iterate ad copy variants, analyze creative performance, and surface optimization recommendations
  • Support planning and execution of prospect-facing webinars and digital campaigns, including registration and landing page setup, speaker coordination, Zoom management, and follow-up reporting in HubSpot, using AI to draft promotional copy, campaign briefs, and post-campaign summaries
  • Build and maintain acquisition nurtures and lead workflows in HubSpot, using AI to personalize messaging, iterate copy, and analyze engagement
  • Activate customer stories and case studies across channels, turning each story into campaign assets, nurtures, sales enablement materials, social content, and webinar talking points, using AI to produce multiple distributed assets from a single story
  • Distribute release notes and product updates to the developer persona across channels including in-product, email, docs, changelog, and community, using AI to translate engineering-written notes into developer-friendly communications and draft channel-specific variants
  • Execute customer-facing lifecycle programs in HubSpot, including onboarding nurtures, feature adoption sequences, expansion campaigns, and customer newsletters, using AI to personalize at scale and identify the highest-converting moments in the journey
  • Maintain a unified marketing calendar spanning acquisition and client/product communications, using AI to draft status updates, flag conflicts and dependencies, and turn raw campaign data into reports for leadership, while keeping prospect-facing and customer-facing messaging from colliding

Here's what we're looking for:

  • 3+ years in a B2B marketing role, ideally in SaaS or technology. Exposure to demand generation, lifecycle marketing, customer marketing, or developer marketing is a plus.
  • Fluency with AI tools as your default way of working. You've gone beyond basic prompting-you've built custom GPTs or Claude Projects, automated workflows, or used AI tooling to solve real problems.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines across parallel workstreams.
  • Reliable follow-through-you take ownership of your commitments.
  • Clear communicator who works well with internal teams (Demand Gen, Product Marketing, Sales) and external partners-and who can adapt tone for different audiences, including technical readers like developers.
  • Curiosity about how marketing influences not just net-new pipeline, but also customer retention and expansion revenue.
  • Comfortable learning new tools quickly-a skill that matters more than ever as the AI tooling landscape evolves monthly.
  • Experience with any of the following is a plus:
    • Marketing Automation (HubSpot or similar), including lifecycle workflows and customer segmentation
    • CRM (Salesforce or similar)
    • Events (Zoom or other webinar platforms)
    • Project Management (Notion, Asana, or similar)
    • AI & Automation Tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gumloop, Glean, or similar)
    • Developer-facing communication tools (changelog platforms, dev community tools, technical documentation systems)

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $63,830/yr- $78,724/yr in Scottsdale. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
