Job description

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Operate and support Delta Utilities’ Microsoft 365 environment with a focus on endpoint management, user productivity, and platform stability. This is a hands-on role responsible for M365 administration, Mobile Device Management (MDM), patching, configuration, and resolving tickets and incidents. You will also act as an internal advocate for M365, helping drive adoption, awareness, and effective use of collaboration tools across the organization.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer core M365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Manage users, groups, licensing, and access.
  • Support email, collaboration, and productivity services.
  • Manage devices using Intune and Apple Business Manager.
  • Enforce device compliance and configuration standards.
  • Support Windows endpoints and Apple devices (iOS for iPhones and tablets).
  • Manage OS and application patching across endpoints.
  • Maintain baseline configurations and standards.
  • Monitor patch compliance and remediate gaps.
  • Resolve Tier 2 tickets related to M365, endpoints, and access.
  • Troubleshoot issues across identity, email, devices, and collaboration tools.
  • Escalate complex issues with clear documentation.
  • Act as a champion for M365 tools and capabilities across the business.
  • Create and maintain runbooks, knowledge articles, and user documentation.
  • Contribute to monthly IT communications and updates.
  • Deliver lunch-and-learns and user enablement sessions.
  • Stay current on M365 changes and communicate impacts to IT and end users.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Leverage AI tools to improve productivity, ticket resolution, and user support.
  • Use AI-assisted scripting and workflows where appropriate.
  • Contribute to PowerShell, API-based automation, and process improvements.
  • Continuously improve documentation and support processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

  • Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field

Minimum experience required of the position

  • 3–5 years in M365 administration or endpoint management, to include experience supporting enterprise users & environments

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position

  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 services
  • Hands-on experience with Intune / MDM platforms and Apple Business Manager
  • Knowledge of patch management and endpoint configuration
  • Experience with Windows OS and iOS devices (iPhones and tablets)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Rooms and Universal Print
  • Basic to intermediate PowerShell
  • Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow or similar)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Clear communication with users and technical teams
  • Ability to manage multiple tickets and priorities
  • Attention to detail and operational discipline

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

  • Preferred:
    • Microsoft 365 certifications (e.g., Modern Desktop Administrator, M365 Administrator)
    • ITIL knowledge or certification

Physical Requirements

  • Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop.
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Able to operate a copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.
  • Able to exert up to 10 Lbs. of force occasionally, and /or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push or otherwise move objects.
