Job Description:

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining the critical infrastructure that supports a datacenter environment. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the operation and optimization of servers, networks, and storage systems to ensure seamless performance and reliability. You will manage and maintain advanced storage systems, including Dell, HPE, and PureStorage Network Attached Storage, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. Your expertise will also be required to manage copper and fiber cabling, ensuring efficient connectivity across the infrastructure. In this role, you will leverage your experience in power and cooling capacity management to estimate and optimize resource utilization within the datacenter. You will create detailed diagrams using tools like Visio or DrawIO to map server racks, physical connections, and network layouts, providing clear documentation for current and future infrastructure planning.

A strong background in datacenter operations, including hands-on experience with hardware and network configurations, will be essential for success. Familiarity with industry best practices for cabling, power distribution, and cooling systems will further enhance your ability to excel in this position. To thrive in this role, you should bring a proven track record of managing complex infrastructure environments and a deep understanding of enterprise-grade hardware and networking solutions. Your ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently, combined with your attention to detail in documenting and planning infrastructure changes, will be critical. Exposure to tools and technologies such as Cisco networking equipment, HPE and Dell hardware, and advanced storage solutions will provide a strong foundation for success.   • 8 to 10+ years of experience in the following areas:
    • Dell and HPE server hardware
    • Dell and PureStorage storage appliance
    • Server Operating Systems
    • Routing and switching
    • Hardware troubleshooting

Bonus points if you have:

  • Cisco networking equipment experience
  • Datacenter automation experience
  • Network engineering

Security clearance:

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance is required
