Job description

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily delivery operations, planning and scheduling including planning driver schedules, managing routes, and ensuring deliveries are completed on time
  • Foster an environment that promotes employee engagement, taking responsibility for establishing and sustaining a culture where employees feel valued and motivated
  • Ensure quality standards and productivity goals are achieved by monitoring driver performance, analyzing KPIs, and addressing any performance gaps to meet department targets
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations and safety and health standards (DOT, OSHA, etc.)  by conducting safety audits, ensuring driver adherence to protocols, and staying current on regulatory changes
  • Coordinate and adjust driver routes daily to balance delivery schedules, customer demands, service hours, and workload, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries
  • Establish and maintain positive customer relationships internally and externally through regular communication collaboration to improve delivery efficiency and meet overall business objectives
  • Other projects or duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree with 3 to 4 plus years of related experience and 0 to 1 plus years supervisory experience or High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 5 plus years of specific experience and 1 to 2 plus years of supervisory experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
