Job Profile Summary

The Delivery Supervisor is a hands‑on leader responsible for coordinating all delivery operations, including collaboration on routing, driver performance, and fleet readiness. This role manages a team of drivers, ensuring safety, compliance, and exceptional customer service while fostering collaboration across departments. The Delivery Supervisor works closely with routing, warehouse, and sales teams to resolve issues quickly and maintain efficient delivery schedules. This position requires someone who leads by example, develops talent, and drives operational excellence across all delivery functions.

Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development
  • Hire, train, and manage delivery drivers, ensuring engagement and accountability.
  • Hold weekly team meetings to communicate updates and priorities.
  • Manage onboarding and ensure completion of all training tasks.
  • Support retention through positive engagement and development.
  • Perform ride‑alongs and work‑withs to coach and support drivers.
  • Ensure completion of all required training and certifications.
Operational Oversight
  • Monitor daily routes and provide feedback to routing for optimization.
  • Ensure adherence to planned routes and timely communication with drivers.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to resolve loading and delivery issues.
  • Interface with customers to resolve discrepancies and maintain strong relationships.
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure DVIR completion and compliance with JJ Keller documentation.
  • Track and address safety concerns, including harsh driving and speeding.
  • Promote adherence to company safety standards and DOT regulations.
Fleet Management
  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and communicate truck status.
  • Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, proper signage, and operational safety.
  • Identify and address performance issues such as excessive idling.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in delivery operations or transportation supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance.
  • Familiarity with routing software (RoadNet preferred) and GPS tracking systems.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite; AS400 experience preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support delivery schedules.
