Delivery Directors are senior leaders responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of projects, programs, or services within an organization. They coordinate teams, manage resources, set delivery strategies, and ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Delivery Directors also act as a bridge between stakeholders and delivery teams, maintaining clear communication and managing risks. Their role is crucial in ensuring client satisfaction and the overall success of an organization’s offerings.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a delivery director?

To thrive as a Delivery Director, you need strong project management expertise, leadership abilities, and a proven track record in delivering complex programs, often supported by a degree in business or technology and relevant certifications like PMP or Agile. Reporting directly to the Partner and Practice Lead, you'll oversee the Project Management function while partnering closely with Account Management to ensure strategy, execution, client communication, and delivery remain tightly aligned. You'll establish scalable delivery processes, improve resource planning, mentor the project management team, and provide executive oversight for our most complex and high-profile engagements.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys building operational excellence, and sees technology and AI as force multipliers for both people and processes.
What it Means to Work for EisnerAmper:
  • You will get to be part of one of the largest and fastest growing accounting and advisory firms in the industry
  • You will have the flexibility to manage your days in support of our commitment to work/life balance
  • You will join a culture that has received multiple top "Places to Work" awards
  • We believe that great work is accomplished when cultures, ideas and experiences come together to create new solutions
  • We understand that embracing our differences is what unites us as a team and strengthens our foundation
  • Showing up authentically is how we, both as professionals and a Firm, find inspiration to do our best work

What Work You Will be Responsible For:
Delivery Leadership
  • Lead the delivery function across website development, digital marketing, branding, CRM, and strategic marketing engagements.
  • Oversee a portfolio of projects to ensure work is delivered on time, on budget, within scope, and aligned with client objectives.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for delivery, proactively identifying risks, resolving issues, and maintaining momentum across engagements.
  • Provide executive oversight on complex, high-value, or high-visibility projects.
  • Translate contracts, scopes of work, retainers, campaign plans, website needs, and recurring deliverables into organized internal project plans, timelines, task lists, and workflows.
  • Partner closely with Account Management to ensure client expectations, project priorities, and delivery plans remain aligned throughout the lifecycle of every engagement.
  • Drive accountability across cross-functional teams for project health, communication, quality, and execution.

Team Leadership
  • Directly manage and develop the Senior Project Manager and Project Coordinator.
  • Provide delivery leadership and operational guidance across Account Management through planning, workflow coordination, project governance, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Foster strong partnerships between Project Management, Account Management, Strategy, Creative, Digital, and Development teams.

Operational Excellence
  • Audit and continuously improve delivery processes to create a more scalable, efficient, and predictable client experience.
  • Design and implement standardized methodologies for project planning, resource management, status reporting, documentation, quality assurance, and risk management.
  • Improve forecasting, capacity planning, workload balancing, and resource utilization across the practice.
  • Partner with Practice Leadership to ensure projects are appropriately scoped, staffed, and positioned for successful delivery and profitability.

AI, Automation & Microsoft 365 Integration
  • Work closely with the Director of MarTech to lead the department's adoption of AI-enabled project management and operational workflows using tools such as Copilot Enterprise, ChatGPT, Claude, and other approved AI platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive project management, task creation, intake, approval, reporting, documentation, and administrative processes.
  • Use Microsoft tools such as SharePoint, Teams, Planner, Project, Lists, Power Automate, and Power BI to improve collaboration, visibility, accountability, and speed.
  • Help optimize systems that turn contract details, scopes of work, client agreements, and recurring service models into actionable internal tasks, templates, timelines, and workflows.
  • Work with the team to ensure automations are practical, accurate, adopted, and aligned with how the department actually works.
  • Develop and maintain standardized project hubs, dashboards, document libraries, intake forms, task lists, and communication structures.
  • Partner with internal technology, compliance, and leadership teams to ensure AI and automation tools are used securely, responsibly, and in alignment with firm policies.

Client Leadership
  • Serve as a senior client-facing leader on strategic engagements, bringing confidence, professionalism, and operational expertise to key meetings and conversations.
  • Support Account Management on executive-level client conversations, project escalations, scope discussions, and delivery planning.
  • Help ensure every client receives a consistent, organized, and high-quality experience throughout every engagement.

Business Performance
  • Monitor portfolio health through key delivery metrics including project profitability, utilization, resource capacity, timeline adherence, and client satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership with visibility into delivery performance, operational risks, staffing needs, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Help build the operational foundation needed to support the continued growth of the practice.
  • Create a culture of accountability, proactive communication, continuous improvement, and exceptional client service.
  • Establish clear project management standards, coaching, and professional development for the delivery team.

Basic Qualifications:
