Job description

MTSI is seeking a highly motivated Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Analyst to support verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) efforts for the Missile Defense System (MDS). In this role, you will directly contribute to ensuring the credibility and readiness of digital and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) models that drive MDS performance assessments and critical decision-making.
You will work within MDA/SEQV Systems Verification-the designated MDA Modeling & Simulation Agent-where your analysis will shape the quality and reliability of the models used across the missile defense enterprise.
What You'll Do
  • Perform VV&A analysis to evaluate HWIL and Digital Models against established requirements and determine their suitability for operational use in MDS simulations.
  • Conduct modeling and simulation assessments in one or more key technical areas: radars/sensors (RF/IR), threats, environments, interceptors, communications, or other ballistic missile defense system components.
  • Develop data-analysis tools and scripts to evaluate model performance parameters identified within analysis and accreditation plans.
  • Research technical papers, model documentation, and system data to identify information relevant to model VV&A.
  • Collaborate with software developers, model producers, accreditation agents, and other stakeholders to generate VV&A evidence and resolve modeling discrepancies.
  • Participate in technical interchange meetings, prepare reports, and brief VV&A findings to internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
  • BS or MS degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in modeling, simulation, analysis, or related engineering work.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher).
  • Experience with MATLAB and/or Python (desired).
  • Understanding of radar principles or radar modeling (plus).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create technical documentation, analysis reports, and briefings.

#LI-JJ1
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $150,000/year to $180,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
MTSI also offers full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis. This posting will be renewed periodically until the position is filled.
