Job description

Positions based on potential Contract Award


Scope of Work

The qualified candidate will provide security guard services for the buildings and grounds of the U.S. Army Engineer District Galveston at Fort Point Reservation. The candidate will perform all necessary tasks to ensure the safety and protection of government property and personnel from injury, molestation, harassment, intimidation, and loss or damage from preventable causes. These causes include, but are not limited to, fire, theft, embezzlement, damage or destruction, trespassing, espionage, and sabotage.

Requirements

  • Two Years of experience in Security (civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement, or security, commercial or industrial guard service or security).
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Possess a high school education or equivalency, and be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive Background Investigation conducted by the federal government (no DUIs, no felonies)
  • Must pass a medical physical/drug screen
  • Texas Security Commission Card (level III) - Mandatory
  • Must meet height/weight standards established by the US Army
