Job description

Role Title: Manual Tester

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)

Duration: Full-time with Apexon

Note: Functional experience working on Integrated Eligibility Projects.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on development experience.
  • Has done hands-on Testing in most recent projects.
  • Proficiency in writing testcases based on US’s/EPICS.
  • Expertise with defect management tools (ALM) Expertise in various testing levels (Sprint, Regression) in Agile Methodology.
  • Strong analytical skills to break down complex systems using the US’s/EPIC documentation. Experience in giving live Sprint demos.
  • Experience in API Testing (REST and SOAP). Experience using JIRA or JIRA Plug-Ins as the defect tracking tool.
  • Experience in running batch jobs in Linux/Unix using Putty.
  • Hands-on experience mocking the inbound files looking at the Storyboards. Demonstrates hands-on experience with relational databases (such as Oracle or similar).
  • Displays a good understanding of database principles & write SQLs beyond just data access.
  • Possesses strong written and oral communication skills. Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, analytical, and professional skills—such as effective collaboration with clients and team leadership, strong problem-solving abilities, and a self-driven, detail-oriented approach as a team player.

Preferred Skills:

  • Functional experience working on Integrated Eligibility Projects.
  • Possesses knowledge of SDLC processes. Automation work experience in developing scripts using existing or new frameworks.
