    Change Request and Defect Management Coordinator
    We are currently in search of a Change Request and Defect Management Coordinator to join our Research and Development department of the Marquardt Group in our location Rochester Hills (USA).
    The Change Request and Defect Management Coordinator supports issue tracking and resolution activities within our System and Software Development organization. This role focuses on coordinating Change Requests (CRs) and Problem Reports (PRs) generated through internal testing activities and customer feedback. The position works closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure issues are properly documented, tracked, communicated, and resolved in a timely manner. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with engineering teams and customers while contributing to the quality and transparency of advanced automotive development projects.
    Responsibilities:
    • Coordinate and track software and system network-related issue tickets throughout the development process
    • Review incoming tickets for completeness, consistency, and required technical information
    • Based on high-level analysis, assign each ticket to best member of global engineering team to lead the needed change estimation or problem investigation
    • Support standardization of issue reporting and tracking processes
    • Follow up with engineering teams and stakeholders regarding ticket status and resolution progress
    • Support communication and alignment with customers regarding reported issues and status updates
    • Monitor issue aging, priorities, and closure progress
    • Generate reports and metrics including issue inflow, burndown, and status tracking
    • Support project meetings with issue tracking summaries and status updates
    • Maintain accurate documentation in tools such as Jira

    Qualifications:
    • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
    • Experience in automotive, embedded systems, software testing, or development environments preferred
    • Familiarity with Jira or similar issue tracking tools
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to work across multiple teams and priorities
    • Structured, proactive, and detail-oriented working style

    Preferred Skills:
    • Experience supporting system or software testing activities
    • Familiarity with defect tracking workflows and reporting metrics
    • Strong customer technical interface and negotiating skills
    • Experience in embedded software development is a plus
    • Exposure to automotive development processes is a plus

    Travel:
    • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed (~10%).
