Job Title: Azure QA Lead

Location: Philadelphia, PA/ Piscataway, NJ (Onsite)

Job Description:

We are seeking an Azure QA Lead to oversee quality assurance activities for Azure-based applications and integration solutions. The ideal candidate will lead test strategy, test planning, execution, defect management, and QA reporting while collaborating closely with development, business, and client teams.

Must-Have Skills
  • Strong QA leadership experience, including test planning, execution, defect management, reporting, and team coordination.
  • Hands-on experience testing Azure-based applications, integrations, APIs, workflows, messaging, data flows, and cloud components.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, including test plans, pipelines, work items, and defect tracking.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, or similar.
  • Experience with functional, regression, integration, API, end-to-end, and performance testing.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, JSON, XML, REST/SOAP services, and data validation.
  • Experience creating test strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, QA metrics, and status reports.
  • Ability to lead defect triage calls, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with development, business, and client teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead QA planning, test strategy, test design, execution, defect management, and reporting for Azure-based solutions.
  • Review business and technical requirements to define comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
  • Validate integrations, APIs, workflows, messaging, data flows, and cloud components within Azure environments.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, API, end-to-end, and performance testing as needed.
  • Coordinate with development, business, and project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Lead defect triage meetings, track issues, communicate risks, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Build, maintain, or support test automation frameworks where applicable.
  • Support CI/CD testing processes using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Provide QA status updates, metrics, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Mentor QA team members and ensure adherence to QA best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of QA experience, including experience as a QA Lead.
  • Strong experience testing Azure-based applications, integrations, APIs, and cloud services.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, test plans, pipelines, and defect tracking.
  • Strong knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, or similar.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Good understanding of SQL, data validation, JSON, XML, REST/SOAP services, and integration testing.
  • Experience creating test strategies, test plans, test cases, and QA reports.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience testing Azure Integration Services, including Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, or Azure Functions.
  • Experience with performance, security, or load testing.
  • Microsoft Azure or QA certifications are a plus.
  • Experience working with distributed teams and client-facing stakeholders.
