Position Description: Summary: The Default Specialist position oversees activity through the default cycle, ensuring compliance standards are adhered to, and timelines are met. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Reviews and sends compliant demand letters Obtains investor approval on necessary requests Refers foreclosure and eviction files to counsel Coordinates with foreclosure and eviction counsel on work and escalations Refers REO files to agents Determines REO repair and listing strategies Reviews and decisions property preservation bids Handles listing reductions, negotiates offers, and oversees contract acceptance Works to clear closing obstacles and handles post-closing exceptions Assists management in development and maintenance of vendor network Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrated knowledge of default loan servicing, especially evictions and REO Experience reviewing property bid work Problem-solving and analytical skills Professional demeanor when interacting with investors and vendors Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Interpersonal Skills Confidentiality and integrity Active listening Teamwork Empathy Clear Communication $21.36 - $31.25 Hourly
