Job description

We're a product-first team on a mission to help grow the cybersecurity culture
We want to instill cybersecurity good practices to employees in a way that's actually effective, and entertaining enough so that employees don't feel like they're working. Think Duolingo but for cybersecurity.
We created a platform to easily rollout a cybersecurity awareness program: the platform sends chat-based 4-minutes long courses to teams. Following the courses, the other side of the platform simulates phishing attacks, to prepare employees to face hackers, but in a safe environment.
Created in 2020, Riot has raised $45m with leading investors (Y Combinator, Left Lane, Base10, Funders Club and First Capital) and is now protecting more than 2,000,000 employees in over 2,000 companies (including Intercom, Deel, and Deezer) all over the world.
Cybersecurity is everywhere. It's impacting everyone, everyday, and it's becoming the number one risk to any organization, whether it's a small business or a big firm. Yet, the cybersecurity culture in most companies is a disaster. Hackers are leveraging this by targeting the weakest link: the employees. We're on a mission to fix that.
You will report directly to Benjamin, our co-founder and CEO. Your mission is to launch and own the US market, from first sales to a fully operational team.
You will define how Riot goes to market in the US, close the first deals yourself, recruit the sales team, and set the foundation for Riot to become a market leader in the largest cybersecurity market in the world.
Riot has a proven business model and a product customers love. We grow 100% YoY, with $20M+ in revenue across 23 countries at the start of 2026.
We're looking for someone to replicate this success and help us crack the US market. We're already at $0.5M with a few strong logos. Your job: make it a success, with solid foundations to build on.
What you will do
Launch the US market
  • Build and execute Riot's US go-to-market strategy from scratch.
  • Localize positioning, pricing, and sales motion for the US market.
  • Identify the highest-leverage acquisition channels: direct sales, events, partnerships, paid acquisition.
  • Own and carry a US ARR target from day one: close early deals yourself while we build the sales team alongside you.
  • Drive pipeline through a mix of outbound, inbound, and network.

Build the team
  • Recruit, structure, and lead Riot's US sales team.
  • Set performance frameworks, rituals, and a culture of accountability.
  • Act as the senior leadership presence on the ground for recruiting and culture.

Be the bridge to European HQ
  • Funnel US market intelligence and customer feedback to product and marketing.
  • Work closely with cofounders, sales leadership, and the team based in Paris (tech, product, customer success) to align strategy and resources.
  • Represent Riot externally with Benjamin: press, events, customer summits, partner meetings.

It will be a cultural fit if
  • You're a doer: not afraid to get your hands dirty and get things done.
  • You have high standards: expect performance to be nothing short of the best.
  • You are an enthusiastic at heart: exhibit passion and excitement over work.

Why join us at Riot
  • Join a financially-healthy company: we're financially strong and highly capital-efficient. Fundraising fuels our momentum, enabling us to scale faster and unlock new growth opportunities.
  • Contribute to a fast-growing startup with a strong vision and high ambitions, backed by clear business goals. We've tripled our revenue over the past two years, and we plan to grow from €20M to €40M ARR in 2026.
  • Experience the energy of a collaborative team in our modern and cosy office located in heart of Paris: République / Canal Saint-Martin.

Recruitment process
  • First interview with Talent Acquisition Manager (45')
  • Manager fit interview with Benjamin, CEO & cofounder (30')
  • Product demo with Louis, CTO & cofounder (30')
  • Business case with Benjamin (90')
  • Cultural fit interviews:
    1. 30' with Henry, Senior Account Executive
    2. 30' with Clément, VP of Sales & Partnerships

At RIOT, we believe that diversity drives innovation and inclusion fosters belonging. We are committed to building a team that reflects a wide range of perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences. We welcome candidates from all walks of life and are dedicated to creating an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.
Please note that this is an on-site position with up to 2 days per month of remote work.
Requirements
Who you are
  • The profile in one sentence: a hands-on leader with the product instincts of a founder and the GTM range to build a market from zero.
  • Former founder or builder mindset: you've started something, or built a team/market from scratch inside a startup. You know what it takes to create something from nothing.
  • Product and marketing aware: you can write a 1-pager, craft a pitch deck, and iterate on messaging. You understand the product deeply enough to sell it creatively.
  • GTM track record: you've scaled a B2B SaaS market in the US, ideally from early revenue to meaningful ARR. No cybersecurity background required. Ideally, you don't just design the sales motion, you close deals yourself.
  • A leader people grow with: you know how to get the best out of people. Humble enough to listen, strong enough to set direction.

Benefits
  • Competitive salary + Equity
  • Healthcare plan
  • 401k plan
  • Unlimited PTO
