Your role

As a Workshop Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment in the shop.  It will be your mission to support Atlas Copco Rental North America's growth strategy as a leader in the Oil Free air rental business in North America.  By joining our team, you will contribute to our commitment to excellence and help us deliver outstanding results to our customers.You will report to the Workshop Supervisor.

You will

  • Maintain the fleet in the shop
  • You will change oil/oil filters/air filters on equipment coming back in from rent
  • You will wash equipment returning from rent
  • You will troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on malfunctioning equipment
  • You will repair down equipment in the shop
  • You will perform preventative maintenance on equipment throughout the territory
  • You will develop and optimize efficient processes and routines
  • You will improve measurable success to business targets
  • You will document all work performend daily using compnay provided hardware and software
To succeed, you will need

  • You have 2 - 3 years expereience as an industrial related service field mechanic
  • You shoul have an appropriate electromechanical degree or training
  • You shoud have demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of different industrial equipment including electrical, hydraulics and/or pneumatics
  • You will be expected to lift up to 50 pounds and work in industrial environments including extremes in temperature with walking, standing, reaching, bending, and kneeling
  • You should have good command in English and a second language knowledge is a bonus
  • you should have high energy levels
