Job description

Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for supporting Ridgeview's business operations and processes via comprehensive financial analysis, reimbursement, cost accounting, budgeting, data mining and reporting.

Job Functions

1. Perform regular financial and productivity analysis, measurement, benchmarking, and reporting.

2. Standardize realized reimbursement reporting for all areas of the organization.

3. Support the organization's cost accounting process.

4. Support provider compensation processing.

5. Perform ad hoc analysis or projects for leadership.

6. Develop and maintain productivity budget development and monitoring.

7. Completes pro forma and return on investment analysis for capital projects and proposed services in collaboration with leadership and corporate Finance department.

8. Perform analysis on business intelligence data required to manage and monitor business functions within Ridgeview Medical Center.

9. Performs accounting functions in coordination with corporate Finance department processes.

10. Develop and maintain budgets in partnership with various leaders.

11. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Work Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Healthcare related field
  • Experience and background in healthcare reimbursement
  • Minimum 5 years experience in either a health care consulting role, mid-sized or larger healthcare system or medical group

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
  • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement practices
  • Knowledge of healthcare finance and financial analysis
  • Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
  • Strong financial analysis and data management skills using Excel and statistical tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Detail and deadline orientated

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of healthcare billing and payment mechanisms
  • Experience with physician and provider compensation methods and models
  • Experience with supporting and utilizing business intelligence or analytic systems to identify actionable analysis and data for leaders
  • Experience with healthcare cost accounting
  • Skills and comprehensive knowledge of budgeting and forecasting principles
  • Experience working in Oracle
