Job description

Description:

As Quality Engineer at Debotech, the individual will be responsible to ensure quality policies, procedures, and systems are adequately developed, implemented and sustained to continuously deliver high levels of quality, delivery, and service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for the following key responsibilities & other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.

1. Under the guidance of the Quality Manager, the QE will develop, implement, and assure sustainment of quality control and assurance processes.

2.The Quality Engineer will analyze process, parts and data to identify key issues impacting cost, cause, and establish appropriate problem-solving activities

3. Utilize and teach usage of quality problem solving tools and methodologies to troubleshoot, root cause, and establish appropriate problem-solving activities

4. Continually assess product and process compliance through audit and comparison to customer requirements.

5. Maintain accurate records and data on quality performance and communication of issues and findings.

6. Proactively seeks out opportunities for improvement which focus on improvement to processes, defect reduction, overall product quality and company cost.

7. Must be able to work collectively and collaboratively with members of production, engineering, purchasing, and sales to ensure quality requirements and expectations are established across the organization.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar field.

2. Auditor Certification in one of the following:

a. ISO 9001:2015,

b. AS 9100:2016, or

c. IATF 16949:2016

3. Working knowledge and understanding the 5 main AIAG Core Tools.

4. Knowledge and understanding of composite manufacturing a plus.

5. Knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

6. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with various levels of management and staff. Communications will also include suppliers, outsourced operational partners and customers.

7. Proficient with common MS Office software: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
