Job description

Overview:

United Dairy Farmer’s (UDF) is located in Erlanger, Kentucky.  UDF serves many local and national companies with cold storage needs and distribution.  Current and past clients include Koch Foods, Dean Foods, Graeter’s, Wild Flavors and Kroger to name a few.  Products stored include everything from ice cream, frozen meats, ingredients, flavoring, etc.

The campus is located at 2825 Crescent Springs Pike and houses three main buildings. UDF is looking for Order Pickers to work full-time roles with a variety of shifts available  (2nd and 3rd)

The UDF campus includes free parking, a break room and easy access to I-71/75 and I-275 including a pick up two miles from the nearest TANK stop.

Job Detail:

Position: Order Picker

Location: Erlanger, KY

Starting Pay: $18/hour with a .50/hour shift differential for the hours of 6pm-6am and a $2.00/hour shift differential for Sunday

Efficiently pick customer orders

  • Retrieve orders according to quantity, size etc. ensuring accuracy
  • Build pallets with orders and position them to loading docks
  • Operate end rider pallet jack in and around warehouse
  • Wrap orders before loading on trucks
  • Ensure that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped
  • Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards

Order Picker requirements and qualifications

  • Great attention to detail
  • Diligent and punctual
  • Good physical strength and stamina
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • 1- 2 years previous order picking/selection experience preferred

Breaks/Lunch – Two 30 minute breaks per shift

Environment & Equipment:

As the name implies, CCI is a cold storage facility.  In most picking areas, you will be working in sub-zero or close to sub-zero temperatures.  UDF does supply coats, gloves and other equipment while working in these environments, including Freezer boots.
