Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Must have verifiable driving experience in "like" equipment:
    • 9 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 
    • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Yard Driver Examination
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Basic level knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice requirements, if applicable to site
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to:
    • Follow written and/or oral instructions
    • Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities
  • Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
  • Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
  • Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
  • Responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard, but cannot drive on public roads
  • Requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service

 Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Maintaining accurate moves, yard inventory, records and logs
  • Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
  • Other tasks as assigned
