What You'll Do
As our Dealership Controller, you'll oversee the dealership's accounting operations while partnering with executive leadership to drive financial performance.
Responsibilities include:
  • Lead all dealership accounting operations
  • Manage month-end and year-end close
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and manufacturer accounting requirements
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts
  • Analyze KPIs and profitability trends
  • Recommend strategies to improve financial performance
  • Maintain strong internal controls and safeguard company assets
  • Coordinate internal and external audits
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and manufacturer requirements
  • Coach, mentor, and develop accounting team members
  • Partner with General Managers and department leaders to maximize profitability
We're Looking For
Required
  • 5+ years of accounting or finance leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Experience preparing financial statements
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred
  • Automotive dealership accounting experience
  • Controller or Assistant Controller experience
  • CPA or CMA designation
  • Experience with CDK or other dealership management systems
  • Multi-franchise or multi-location experience
