Deal Strategy information

What is a deal strategy professional?

A Deal Strategy professional is responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize the value and success of business deals, such as mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, or major sales agreements. They analyze market trends, risks, and financial implications to guide decision-making and negotiation tactics. Their role often involves collaborating with legal, financial, and operational teams to ensure deals align with company objectives and create long-term value.

How does a deal strategy professional typically collaborate with sales and legal teams during complex transactions?

Deal Strategy professionals play a crucial role in bridging the gap between sales and legal teams, especially during high-stakes or multifaceted deals. They work closely with sales to understand client needs, structure competitive offers, and identify potential risks. At the same time, they coordinate with legal teams to ensure terms comply with company policies and regulatory requirements, facilitating negotiations and resolving contractual issues. This collaborative approach ensures deals are both attractive to clients and aligned with organizational standards, making teamwork and strong communication skills essential in this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in deal strategy, and why are they important?

To succeed in Deal Strategy, you need strong analytical abilities, financial modeling expertise, and a solid background in business, finance, or a related field. Familiarity with CRM platforms, Excel, PowerPoint, and sometimes certifications like CFA or MBA are commonly required. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills help professionals influence stakeholders and navigate complex deals. These competencies are crucial for structuring successful deals that align with organizational objectives and drive business growth.

Job description

Sales Analyst & Deal Strategist
Miami Headquarters

eMed is scaling its enterprise commercial motion and looking for an operator who thrives at the
intersection of data, strategy, and deal execution. As a Sales Analyst & Deal Strategist, you'll be
the analytical engine and strategic backbone behind our most complex enterprise deals -
building the intelligence that wins.
You'll partner directly with Account Executives to develop win plans, own RFP and RFI
responses, and ensure every deal is backed by sharp competitive positioning and stakeholder
insight. This role is both analytical and highly cross-functional - you'll move seamlessly from a
data model to a deal memo to a live deal call.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Partner with Account Executives to develop strategic win plans and deal narratives for high-value enterprise opportunities
  • Own end-to-end coordination of RFP and RFI responses - ensuring submissions are compelling, accurate, and on time
  • Serve as a deal-level subject matter expert on product, clinical, and operational context for complex buyer conversations
  • Quarterback cross-functional deal teams, aligning Product, Marketing, Clinical, Legal, and Finance under tight timelines
  • Co-create with Marketing to customize sales presentations, deal memos, and competitive positioning materials
  • Lead pre-call planning and stakeholder mapping for key accounts, ensuring Sales is fully prepared for every critical meeting
  • Build and maintain deal analytics - tracking pipeline health, win/loss patterns, and competitive trends to sharpen our GTM strategy
  • Feed field insights back to Product and Marketing to continuously improve eMed's positioning and competitive differentiation

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • 3-5+ years in sales enablement, deal management, revenue operations, or enterprise sales
  • Experience owning RFP/RFI processes end-to-end
  • Strong analytical skills - comfortable working with pipeline data, win/loss analysis, and sales metrics
  • Proven ability to coordinate across Product, Legal, Finance, and Marketing under pressure
  • Exceptional written communication - you can write a tight deal memo and a compelling executive brief
Preferred
  • Healthcare, health-tech, or digital health experience
  • Familiarity with compliance-sensitive or clinical enterprise sales cycles
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and sales analytics platforms
  • Background in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment
Benefits
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k with Company Match)
  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
  • Paid Time Off
  • Short Term & Long Term Disability
  • Training & Development
  • Catered Breakfast & Lunch daily, Snacks
  • Wellness Resources
