Job description

JOB PURPOSE:
The Manager's responsibilities will include both technical and supervisory duties. Responsible for the on-site technical training and development of all laboratory technicians at the practice as well as the implementation of new products and technologies. The Manager will be expected to communicate regularly with the regional manager of laboratory excellence and other relevant ACI management and take an active role within the ACI Laboratory Network. While work methods follow established procedures and practices, candidates are expected to consult with the Chief Clinical Officer and team using a high degree of judgment on a patient-by-patient basis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Expert in all aspects of denture fabrication, including, but not limited to, setting teeth, denture wax-up, including festooning and carving of teeth, rough and fine finishing and repairs, pouring and trimming denture models
  • A strong work ethic, proven leadership ability, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills
  • Expected to understand OSHA protocol
  • Willingness to cross-train lab team members in all areas of the lab
  • Other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements:
  • High School Diploma

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, management, and relationship-building skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with dental office procedures and terminology preferred
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs
  • Competitive spirit with an entrepreneurial mindset to exceed goals
  • Availability to work full time, Monday through Friday, during the business hours of the lab and practice
  • Significant employment experience fabricating dentures from start to finish.
  • Denture and implant experience preferred, but implant experience is not a requirement.
  • Same-day denture experience is a bonus, but not required.
  • A minimum of ten years of hands-on technical experience with at least two years serving in a technical supervision or management capacity.
  • Proficient in full-arch hybrid restorations, complete dentures, overdentures and implant based restorative techniques and have strong knowledge of dental science and anatomy and esthetics.
