Accent Care Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team in a full-time remote capacity. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough mental health evaluations, crafting individualized treatment plans, and facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, all aimed at fostering client healing and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments to evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health status, documenting findings comprehensively.
  • Develop personalized treatment and intervention plans in collaboration with clients, tailoring approaches to address specific challenges and promoting recovery.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to foster personal growth and resilience.
  • Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary in response to evolving needs and circumstances.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create coherent and integrated care plans.
  • Ensure timely follow-ups for clients referred to external providers, tracking outcomes and maintaining open lines of communication.
  • Assist caregivers and family members in navigating mental health challenges, equipping them with strategies to support their loved ones.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Accent Care Counseling Center, you will engage with a diverse range of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. You will work closely with individuals, couples, families, and groups, tailoring your therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each client population.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
  • Proficiently scored the NCE and/or NCMHCE examinations.
  • Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, ideally within a clinical or community health setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to ensure accurate documentation and client management.
  • Understanding of various physical, emotional, and addiction-related health conditions that may impact client well-being.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills, coupled with a deep sense of empathy and compassion for those you serve.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in a community health setting is advantageous, providing insights into the unique challenges faced by underserved populations.
  • Experience with treatment modalities specific to addiction recovery and dual diagnosis clients is a plus.
  • Knowledge of psychopharmacology and the effects of prescribed medications in the treatment of mental health conditions.
Compensation and Benefits
