Responsibilities:
As a Manager - Radiology on our team, you'll play a vital role in leading departmental operations that support patient care, physician needs, and the mission of Presbyterian Healthcare Services This role blends hands-on clinical expertise with operational leadership, overseeing staff performance, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and quality standards. Ideal for a collaborative leader, this position supports staff development, ensures efficient and compliant imaging services, and engages with both hospital leadership and the broader community to advance high-quality radiology care.
  • Manages the department and staff to meet the needs of the hospital, patients, and physicians.
  • Assures compliance with all mammography accreditations.
  • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Develops an operating budget which meets the needs of the PHS organization and operates within the guidelines of the budget. Staffs the department on a volume basis to ensure productivity.
  • Hires, counsels and terminates employees according to PHS guidelines. Participates in employee development.
  • Performs diagnostic radiology, CT, Bone Density, Ultrasound exams on a daily basis as needed in the department.
  • Attends department head meetings and holds staff meetings monthly. Serves as a team player and supports the PHS Mission of Purpose, Vision, Values and Strategies.
  • Works with the community to develop a county-wide health care system. Educates the community on what the department and hospital have to offer.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Radiology required
  • Minimum of three years of experience across various radiology areas
  • Three to five years of radiology supervision experience preferred
  • New Mexico State License in Radiologic Technology (NMRRT) required
