CBHH in Alexandria is seeking to fill a vacancy for a Registered Nurse. Community Behavioral Health Hospitals (CBHH) are 16-bed inpatient psychiatric facilities for adults experiencing a serious mental health episode. The length of stay is usually less than 60 days, during which treatment focuses on stabilization, patient education, and discharge planning involving community support resources, with the overall goal of preventing future episodes.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing experienced, professional nursing case. This includes assessing and diagnosing the needs of patients, developing individualized nursing plans to meet those needs in coordination with the multi-disciplinary team, providing direct nursing interventions and/or delegating specific nursing tasks to appropriate staff, evaluating the effectiveness of the plan and the care provided, and other duties as assigned. The RN also participates as an active member of the CBHH interdisciplinary treatment team and will act as charge nurse when assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be licensed or eligible for licensure in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse.

**Future Registered Nurses who are within six (6) months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-RN are encouraged to apply. Contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of NCLEX-RN.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Patient care experience within a mental health or behavioral health setting.
