Job description

Job Title
Logistics Clerk

Job Overview
The Logistics Clerk is responsible for real time analysis, assisting the coordination and balance of Distribution Center Logistics Operations. Monitors and documents all productivity measurements. Supports the Department Managers/ Leads to ensure all tasks are ready for the transfer crew. Reporting, researching and resolving issues that occur in the interface between DC Operations and Logistics in a timely manner. Supports Department Managers/Lead to ensure all End of day (EOD) tasks are completed to ensure preparation tasks are complete for the next shift. Other responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for real time analysis, coordination and balance of DC Logistics (Transfer) Operations.
  • Collects and records current DOT/Log data and reports them to the Fleet Operations Managers.
  • Monitor and track equipment that is issued as needed.
  • Provides support in reporting, researching and resolving issues that occur in the daily operations of the transfer of goofs in a timely manner.
  • Provides administrative support for the Logistics Department.
  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all Systems.
  • Supports fleet maintenance including in-house and outsourced repairs.
  • Supports yard maintenance to ensure safe operating conditions are maintained.
  • Responsible for creating routes and Transfer Driver schedules that facilitate the shipment company goods.
  • Responsible for maintenance of training logs.
  • Manage/coordinate communication with drivers coming into facility.
  • Support OB Logistics Manager, Fleet Manger and Driver Manager as needed.
  • Performs additional duties as requested.
  • May provide routine information and support to less experienced staff.

Schedule: Monday - Friday (Saturdays as needed), 10:00pm - 7:00am

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Mathematical aptitude
  • Multi-Tasking under fast paced conditions
  • Preferable 1-3 years plus of direct high volume logistics or shipping experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment with Bob's

Physical Demands

  • Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center.
  • Sit, stand and walk continuously to perform job functions.
  • Standing, walking, lifting, and arranging product: 15%
  • Sitting, Desk or phone work: 85%
