About the role

In this role, you will serve as a strategic technology engagement partner to the Distribution Center (DC) Logistics and Transportation business teams, ensuring business priorities, operational needs, and user experiences are clearly represented in Gap Tech strategy, priorities, and delivery. You will build trusted relationships with business leaders and technology partners to understand business objectives, translate operational needs into technology priorities, and help ensure technology investments and solutions deliver meaningful business value.You will provide front-line business engagement and support for logistics technology, facilitating issue resolution, prioritization, communication, and escalation to minimize disruption for end users. You will proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, capabilities, and technology experiences through business insights, data, user feedback, and collaboration. You will communicate recommendations and potential business impacts to key stakeholders and help drive adoption of solutions that improve operational efficiency, productivity, resilience, and user experience. Success in this role will be measured not only by effective technology support, but by how well technology enables the business to achieve its operational and strategic objectives.

What you'll do
  • Serve as a key business partner to DC Logistics Operations and Transportation teams, building strong relationships with business leads to understand operational priorities, pain points, and opportunities, and ensuring priority issues are being addressed in a timely manner.
  • Provide proactive stakeholder communication on issue status, resolution progress, risks, and expected business impact. Ensure DC Logistics and Transportation leaders and users have clear, timely information to support operational decision-making.
  • Partner closely with Product Management and Technical Product teams to understand, troubleshoot, prioritize, and resolve issues impacting business operations. Represent the voice and priorities of the business while ensuring solutions address both immediate needs and longer-term business outcomes.
  • Coordinate system outages, maintenance, and enhancement schedules with Transportation and Distribution Center leads to align technology activities with operational calendars and business priorities. Ensure changes are planned and delivered during windows that minimize disruption to logistics operations.
  • Provide elevated business engagement and support during Gap Inc. peak sales periods, facilitating proactive monitoring, communication, prioritization, and escalation of critical issues impacting Distribution Center and Transportation logistics teams. Help ensure rapid decision-making and resolution during periods of heightened operational demand.
  • Continuously strengthen the connection between business needs and technology delivery by bringing forward business priorities, operational insights, and user feedback to Product and Technology teams.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for process optimization through research, data analysis, user feedback, and collaboration with business and technology partners. Translate insights into recommendations that improve operational efficiency, user experience, productivity, and business outcomes.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for process modernization and new ways of working that align with Gap Tech organizational goals of digital first.
Who you are
  • Work experience in specific domain areas including but not limited to Logistics, Supply Chain, and Transportation Experience.
  • Direct experience with Warehouse Management, Transportation, and Supply Chain systems.
  • Strong track record of establishing relationships with critical business teams and developing credibility with said business teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills as it relates to providing concise executive level leadership updates.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage issues based on business impact ensuring the highest priority issues are being addressed in a timely manner
  • Strong analytical skill as it pertains to identifying process opportunities and improvements and Proven track record of presenting and implementing those changes.
