Job Title: ServiceNow Application Developer

Client: DC Government Agency

Job Location: Onsite; Washington, DC (20002)

Employment Type: Contract (W2 or 1099 only; No C2C)

Final Interview will be in person

Position Summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited Company is hiring a ServiceNow Application Developer on behalf of a DC Government client. The role supports the development, administration, and ongoing enhancement of the agency’s ServiceNow platform within the Office of Data and Technology.

This role will play a critical hands-on role in configuring, maintaining, and evolving ServiceNow to support district-wide business processes across multiple modules, including but not limited to Source-to-Pay (S2P), Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD), IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), and other modules. The ideal candidate brings strong platform fundamentals, experience supporting enterprise workflows, and the ability to partner effectively with non-technical stakeholders across a large public-sector organization. The ServiceNow Application Developer will ensure solutions are scalable, user-centered, secure, and aligned to agency operational priorities, while supporting continuous improvement of service delivery across central office and school-based teams.

Essential Responsibilities

The ServiceNow Application Developer will:

• Serve as a primary administrator for the agency ServiceNow instance, supporting day-to-day service operations and maintenance.

• Configure and maintain ServiceNow applications, including forms, lists, workflows and flows, notifications, and reporting.

• Support development and enhancement activities across multiple ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, HRSD, S2P, and other available modules.

• Design and maintain Service Catalog items and end-to-end workflows using Flow Designer, approvals, task routing, and notifications.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and recommend platform-aligned approaches.

• Coordinate with the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) for development, changes, and support.

• Ensure configurations follow ServiceNow best practices, prioritizing configuration over customization and maintaining upgrade readiness.

• Troubleshoot platform issues, resolve defects, and support continuous improvement through analysis and refinement of existing processes.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including configuration details, process flows, and user guidance.

• Partner closely with internal IT teams, vendors, and ServiceNow partners as appropriate.

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.

• Experience with one or more ServiceNow application areas such as ITSM, HRSD, S2P, Customer Service Management (CSM), or Security Operations (SecOps).
