Job description

The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating equipment in the one or more value streams of the Florist operations. This position is responsible for the production of valuable, defect-free products that meet or exceed our customers' expectations. The machine operator will be successful in this position by executing to standard work and adhering to all company policies.
Positions are 12 hour day shift positions (5:50am - 6:00pm). This position is located at our manufacturing plant at 2230 W. Florist Ave in Glendale, WI.
  • Weighing and mixing raw materials following batch instructions.
  • Work with hazardous materials utilizing engineering controls and PPE.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and contribute to Lean/5S/Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Perform production equipment set up, clean up, safe operation, & operator level maintenance of assigned equipment .
  • Identify & maintain quality standards while meeting daily & weekly production goals.
  • Understand & follow established standard work documents.
  • Perform adjustments to production equipment as necessary.
  • Communicate production performance to appropriate leaders & departments.
  • Support area goals for continuous improvement by serving on project teams as required.
  • Adhere to Brady's attendance, safety, & other company policies.
  • Maintain general housekeeping & clean production areas at end of every shift.
  • Provide support within other production areas as needed & other duties as assigned.
